HeliHeadspeed not only helps you find the head speed your proposed electric power train will produce, but it can also help you find the proper pinion or motor KV. - Includes a data base of main gear tooth counts for many popular helicopters on sale today - Computes head speed - Computes pinion teeth required to achieve your desired head speed - Also computes motor KV required to achieve your desired head speed - Easy to use - Intended for electric, Lithium Polymer powered helicopters only When computing pinion tooth count and motor KV, HeliHeadspeed will recommend the pinion or KV required to maintain head speed at low battery voltage. When using these recommendations without a governor, your helicopter will produce higher head speed at full voltage which, may lead to catastrophic failure and result in injury or death of the operator or bystanders. I strongly recommend using a governor to maintain a safe head speed. Please consult your helicopter's manual to find the recommended head speed. iOS 5 screenshots shown.
